How fancy can my email really get?

When you think of email, even designed ones, you’re probably still thinking of something pretty basic, where even putting a video header in makes it look flashy.

While it’s true that email has some way to go before it can do the same things as websites, there are some great features you can add if you know what you’re doing (and fortunately, the email experts we use know exactly that they’re doing!).

BURGER MENU.

We’re all used to seeing the ‘burger menu’ on websites – whether on all versions of a site or just on the mobile version. Wouldn’t it be great if you could add that same menu layout to your emails, giving your users more navigation options and ensuring a consistency across platforms that hasn’t been possible in the past.

Please note: This feature works on the most capable email clients, and will account for at least 50% of recipients on most email lists. When it’s sent to someone whose email client doesn’t support it, they’ll be shown an attractive, graceful fallback option that will still look fabulous.

INTERACTIVE HOTSPOTS.

Interactive image hotspots are a great way to highlight features in a product, or pick out products in a roomset or collection image. The pulsing hotspot icons are highly attention-grabbing, increasing email dwell time, and each pop-up can link to a unique landing destination – ideal for eCommerce campaigns.

Please note: This feature works on the most capable email clients, and will account for at least 50% of recipients on most email lists. When it’s sent to someone whose email client doesn’t support it, you have several options for the fallback state, which can be discussed during the design phase.

COUNTDOWN TIMER.

Give your email an added sense of urgency with a countdown timer, proven to bring in dramatically improved response rates to short-term deals and promotions. The best bit about countdown timers is they are supported by pretty much all email clients, so you can be sure the majority of your audience will be able to get that same sense of urgency and be compelled to take you up on your offer!

CUSTOM PERSONALISATION.

We’re all used to personalisation in emails – our names have been appearing in email body copy for a while now. But what if we could go further? Well, we can.

Dynamic images are unique to each individual email recipient, opening a world of possibility. It could be simply putting the recipients name on an item, but could also include live price updates, customised products and offers or localised content.

And the best part? Dynamic images behave just like any other image in an email campaign, so they’ll appear for all your users!

MULTIPLE VIEW SWITCHER.

You’ve got great products and you want to show them off from all angles, right? Well we’ve got you covered there, too. Perfect for fashion, jewellery, beauty and other luxury goods brands, this technology provides a slick user experience and helps to increase conversions and ROI.

Please note: This feature works on the most capable email clients, and will account for at least 50% of recipients on most email lists. When it’s sent to someone whose email client doesn’t support it, the fallback state can be completely different content, or simply the main / first product image as a standalone clickable element.
